Spring into Hurling
You’ve seen us on the news, and in the parade, or at the bar…now it’s time to embrace your competitive spirit and learn how to play the ancient game of hurling! Over the next 6 Thursdays (March 31st- May 5th) we will be offering a FREE beginner’s clinic on the basics of hurling. No experience necessary. We will provide the equipment. So bring a friend and see what all the talk is about!

Join our Indoor Hurling League this winter
Don’t let the winter months slow you down. Come out and join our indoor hurling league starting in the New Year. Experienced coaches will be on hand every night to teach the fundamental skills of the game to all newcomers. Don’t miss your chance to get a taste of Gaelic sport right here in the Valley. Where? The Rink at Whitehall (3323 7th street, Whitehall, PA 18052)
When? Once every two weeks on Tuesday nights from 8:15-9:15pm.
Full Schedule: Jan 12, 26, Feb 9, 23, Mar 8, 22.
Beginner sessions will be held before game play every night.

5th Annual East Coast Hurling Tournament on May 2nd:
All roads lead to Allentown on Sat May 2nd for our 5th annual east coast hurling tournament. Over 100 hurlers, representing seven clubs from four different states will battle it out for the Alexander Campbell cup. The action takes place at Haines mill fields (105 Haines mill road, Allentown PA 18104) starting at 11am and continuing till 5pm. The tournament will be one of largest hurling tournaments to take place on the east coast this year. Don’t miss out on this free event.
Golf Classic, Saturday May 30th
Join us at the Blue Shamrock golf club in Palmerton on Saturday, May 30 for our first golf classic. The club is currently offering both $100 hole and $50 cart sponsorships to showcase your company name at the outing.
Registration for the classic is $100/player or $400/team. The outing is a 4 ball scramble format that includes, Green fees, two drinks on course, after party with Live Irish band, pig roast, Guinness, lite beer and prizes.

Spring Beginner Clinics
Learn to play Hurling with the Hibernians this spring. The first of our beginner clinics takes place on Sunday Mar 29th at the Klines Lane soccer field in Emmaus. We will take you through all the fundamentals of the game and have you up to speed in no time. After mastering the basics at our beginner training sessions you will be ready to join the Lehigh Valley Hurling league starting in mid May. Contact us for more information.

Play Hurling at DeSales University
Join the Hibernians on Sunday Nov 9th at DeSales University for a beginners Hurling clinic. The clinic will take place on the intramural fields located behind Tocik and Conemy hall starting at 1pm. Learn all the basic skills of Hurling in a fun one hour training session. Don’t be shy, come out and give it a try. All equipment will be provided by the club so just bring some workout gear and cleats.
Lehigh Valley Hurling League
Join the Hibs for the Lehigh Valley Hurling League every Thursday from now till Aug 21. The league games take place at either Klines Lane in Emmaus or Fountain Park in Allentown, check out our calendar for up to date league location. It’s not to late to join the action so come on down and give it a try.

Come one, come all, to the Hibernians Hurling clinics every Sunday in April (except april 20th). We will be hosting beginner’s clinic for both youth (12noon) and adults (1pm) at the Klines Lane soccer field in Emmaus. The clinic will consist of a one hour hurling skills development training session to demonstrate the fundamentals of the sport. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to play hurling. All equipment will be provided by the club, just bring some workout gear and soccer cleats. See you all there.
A Busy Month of March for the Hibs
- Mar 2nd: Club AGM at 2pm
- Mar 15th: Bethlehem St Patricks Day Parade
- Mar 22nd: Inaugural Irish Culture Community Day at the Allentown Fairgrounds (Ag Hall) 12-5pm. The lads will be doing a hurling demo at 1:25pm and will be there all day promoting the sport. Stop on over and sign up for our beginners clinic on Mar 30th.
- Mar 23rd: Start the morning with a 5K run of the parade route followed by the Allentown St Patrick’s Parade at 1:30pm.
- Mar 30th: Come one come all to our first beginners clinic of 2014. We will be at Klines Lane in Emmaus at 12pm to run you through all the basic skills of Hurling. Youth clinic starts at 12 noon and adults at 1pm. All equipment will be provided. Contact us for more info.
Play Hurling in 2014 The 2013 season is in the books but the club is busy planning for 2014. The St Patricks day parades in March will start the countdown to opening day. The first training/beginners clinic will take place March 30th so this is a date to mark on your calendar. Mary Cosgrove 7’s tournament: (10/5/13) Congratulation to the Hibs for winning the Mary Cosgrove 7’s tournament in Rockland New York. The lads defeated a strong Worcester team in the B final to a score of 2-3 to 0-4. The Hibs got off to a strong start with early scores from an inform Tim O’Brien, and Luke Coyle, the full forward pairing were giving the opponents nightmares all day. The Hibs depleted 8 man squad was dealt a big blow in the second half as the dominant midfield performance of Maged had come to a early end due to injury. Danny O’Donnell came in to steady the ship, he paired up well with Joey the hoover McFadden in the middle of the park. As the clock ticked down to the final whistle the Worcester team came looking for goals but the all O’Donnell brother back-line of Pat and Connor shut the door time after time. A nervous closing few minutes saw the Hibs goalkeeper Mahon called into action, the agile keeper saved his best performance for the final game of the season and recorded his first clean sheet of the tournament. As the referee called time the two Hibs fans (Finn and Sam) could hardly contain there excitement as the Hibs had finally recorded there first trophy of the season. It was a great way to finish another exciting year for the Hibernians. Big thanks to Simon Gillespie, Hoboken Guard and the Rockland GAA for putting together another great 7’s tournament. NACB Finals 2013 (08/30-09/01) The Hibs traveled to Cleveland over labour day weekend to compete in the Jnr C hurling national championship. On day one the lads lost to a strong Milwaukee team to a score of 3-9 Vs 2-10. The lads were able to regroup and put a strong performance together in the Sunday Shield competition. The Hibs defeated Red Branch OR, Denver CO, and Akron OH to win our first ever shield competition at the national championship. Up the Hibs
